Samuel Pepys explained to Jane that the fire was spreading and people were clambering on boats that they can make tents. Samuel Pepys wrote a diary about the fire in 1666 and the spreaded until Friday 7th of September. The fire in London was a huge fire that raged for three nights in September 1666 and destroyed much of medieval London. An apology for starting the fire was made by members of the worshipful company of bakers to the lord mayor of London. This apology came in 1986,320 years after the event.
